Artist Spotlight: Seafret

We sat down for a quick chat with Seafret ahead of their upcoming tour...
You’ve recently announced the release of your new album. Can you tell us more about the inspiration behind it?
Without giving too much away, we’ve really dug deep for this album. We’ve pushed the production as much as we can, but still kept it honest and true to us. We can’t wait to share it!
Do you have a favourite band/artist?
This changes all the time! At the moment though, I’m really loving Sam Fender. I love how honest and relatable his songs are.
Is there an album that changed your life?
The album that changed my life is John Martyn - Solid Air. I heard it at the time of stating out playing guitar, and it really made my knuckle down and push to be able to play like he did!
Do you have a dream venue you’ve always wanted to play?
Dream big right? We’ve always wanted to put a show on at The O2 in London! That being said, Barrowlands is a close second! So much history!
We can’t wait to see you headline The Mash House, Edinburgh and SWG3, Glasgow next month – what can we expect from the shows?
It’s going to be special. We’ve toured with a bigger band set up for years now, and this back to basics tour really is us going back to basics. Just the both of us preforming songs, new and old, in the most intimate way. You won’t want to miss it!
