Artist Spotlight: Sheppard

Artist Spotlight: Sheppard

Australian indie pop trio best known for their viral hit 'Geronimo' play G2 this Sunday 27th April. Ahead of this we had a chance to catch up with the band...

For any new fans, can you tell us a little bit more about you and the journey you’ve been on to where you are now?

Hey! We’re Sheppard— Amy, George, and Emma from Brisbane, Australia, along with our incredible bandmates who’ve become like family too. You might’ve heard our song Geronimo (yes, the one that goes “Say Geronimo!”), which took off and catapulted us into a whirlwind of touring, recording, and global adventures. Since then, we’ve stayed proudly independent, released four albums, and connected with fans all around the world. And now, we’re finally bringing the party back to the UK!

What’s the best gig/your favourite gig you’ve played to date?

Oooh that’s a tricky one. There’s nothing quite like playing to a huge crowd at Rock in Rio or hearing a stadium of people scream Coming Home back at you. But honestly? Some of our all-time faves are the intimate club shows—when we can feel every bit of energy in the room and just go off with the crowd. We’ve heard Scottish fans know how to bring it, so we reckon Glasgow might just take the crown…

Are there any artists that inspire your music/songwriting? Who and why?

We’ve always drawn inspiration from artists who aren’t afraid to be bold and emotional—think Coldplay, Fleetwood Mac, Imagine Dragons. We love crafting songs that lift people up and bring them together, whether it’s through an anthem you scream in the car or something that hits right in the feels. We’re also massively inspired by each other—it’s a family band after all, so there’s never a shortage of ideas flying around (or passionate debates in the studio!).

How is the rest of 2025 looking for you? Any exciting plans you can tell us about?

It’s looking huge! We’re working on a new album, more international touring, and also cheering on Australia in Eurovision - we co-wrote Millshake Man with Go-Jo and you might hear it in the show. 2025 is all about pushing boundaries, meeting more amazing fans around the world, and making music that brings joy. So come be part of it—we’d love to kick things off with you in Scotland!

We can’t wait to see you headline The Garage (G2) on Sunday 27th April – are you looking forward to playing for a Scottish crowd? What can fans expect from the show?

We are buzzing! We’ve heard Scottish crowds are some of the loudest and most fun in the world—and we are so ready for that energy. The Garage is going to be one big singalong, filled with bangers from across our career, new tracks, some unexpected moments, and a whole lot of heart. Whether you’re a longtime fan or this is your first time seeing us live, we promise to give you a night you won’t forget. Bring your best mates, your dancing shoes, and your biggest voices—Glasgow, we’re coming for you!
