Forming her passions at a young age, Lizzie Esau was born in London but raised in the North East, growing up in a creative atmosphere that encouraged her to follow her early ambitions. Having penned her thoughts to song for over a decade, her passion to express herself through music hasn’t faded.

Lizzie Esau

Finding influence in Wolf Alice, Imogen Heap and Radiohead, she’s keen to blow the lid off any one sonic box. Word is spreading about her anthemic and eminently hooky song writing. Playing with her live band - guitarist Shaun “Chippy” Chipp, bassist Joe Bennison, and drummer Alex Baker Lizzie has had a busy live schedule over the last twelve months. Establishing her sound with support slots for The Amazons Upsahl, and Baby Queen, as well as performing at festivals including BBC Radio 1’s Big Weekend, Live at Leeds & more. Early support coming from BBC Introducing, Jack Saunders, Notion, Clash, and Dork, Esau has cemented her name as one to keep an eye on.

Ramping up her song writing prowess with indie showstopper and BBC Introducing TOTW ‘The Enemy’ and alternative and pensive ‘Bleak Sublime’ has demonstrated that Lizzie is here to stay. Early ’23 by saw the release of riff laden ‘Jellyfish’ (produced by Catherine Marks Wolf Alice/Killers). Most recently dropping the epic and anthemic ‘Killer’ Lizzie continues to thrive and surprise with a rapidly-expanding discography. Summer 2023 will see Lizzie releasing her debut EP in time to showcase her music at wide host of festivals, headliners and key supports throughout the UK. Go see what the fuss is all about.
