2023 has seen Isaac Gracie return with new single, The Man Who Flew Into Space. It’s the British musician’s first new music since the release of his ‘close up – looking down’ EP in 2018.

The track is released via YALA! Records, and is streaming HERE. It launched alongside a video directed by Oscar Albert – watch HERE.  The single was produced by Ben Baptie.

Isaac Gracie

Isaac Gracie on his time out: “For the first time I didn’t feel like I was capable of giving myself to music, as it can be quite a totalising engagement. But I missed playing shows, doing new things and meeting new people. Music became, and exists, as a means to connect and ingratiate with others which is kind of invaluable.

On the new single: “I wrote The Man Who Flew Into Space with my brother. It was one of the first instances of us collaborating. He possesses the sharpest of minds and helped me to unspool the doubt knots in my brain. In this case it was a negotiation with death in a way, the will to death set against a cosmic backdrop inspired by the Suprematist themes I’d been getting into.”

Since Isaac revisited the notion of being a live performer, a handful of small headline shows were announced and all sold out in moments. He followed the headline shows with four UK dates in support of Belgian musician Tamino this March.
