Event Info

Hozier at Glasgow Green

The event is held on Glasgow Green in the heart of Glasgow City and on the banks of the River Clyde. It’s within walking distance of the City Centre, close to the Merchant City and has good links to a variety of train stations and bus routes.  

There is no parking at the event. Roads surrounding Glasgow Green will be closed and restricted to local residents only. 

Gates open – 4:30pm  

Last Entry – 9.30pm 

Event closes – 11:00pm  

VIP area remains open until Midnight

Stage times will be released closer to the event.  

No under 12s are allowed entry to the event  

Persons aged between 12-15 years old must be accompanied by an adult 18 or over (1 adult minimum per 4 persons aged between 12-15 years old).  

If you are attending with someone under 16 years old, we encourage you to register your contact details in advance via our guardianship procedure form here. Guardianship wristbands will be issued at the welfare tent inside the arena near the main entrance when you arrive onsite. This will help us reunite you in the unlikely event you become separated.  

You should expect to produce a valid, in date photographic ID. 

A challenge 25 policy will be in operation at the event.  

Only original IDs are accepted - Photocopies will not be accepted. 

Access to Bar queues is restricted to persons 18 and over.   

The following types of ID are acceptable: 

UK or International Full or Provisional Driving Licence 

UK or International Passport 

National Proof of Age Standards Scheme card with the PASS hologram (e.g. Young Scot, CitizenCard, My ID Card) 

  • Must have a PASS hologram on it. 
  • The PASS hologram must not be faded, damaged or tampered with. 
  • If there is an issue with the PASS hologram on your ID, you should apply for a replacement card via the issuing authority as it will not be accepted. 

This is in line with the national Challenge 25 policy.

There are plenty of options available to get to and from Glasgow Green and it is strongly advised that you travel to Glasgow City by public transport and walk to the site. 

There is no onsite parking. Glasgow Green is located within a residential area and there will be road closures in place during the gig. 

Please respect the local community and our neighbours when you are entering and leaving the site.

You cannot leave and re-enter the festival once you are in and your ticket has been scanned. 

Walking routes 

You can walk straight to the main entrance on Saltmarket: 

  • from the West via Clyde Street,  

  • from the North via High St and down Saltmarket 

  • from the South via Crown St and across the Albert Bridge 

  • from the East via London Road and down Saltmarket

Citylink provide 24/7 links between Scotland's cities including the flagship 900 service between Edinburgh and Glasgow up to every 15 minutes throughout the day as well as routes up and down the west coast, and will be running dedicated services to Hozier at Glasgow Green.

Citylink will run two dedicated services to Hozier:

  • HOZ1 – Kilmarnock, Hamilton, Glasgow Green
  • HOZ2 – Kirkcaldy, Dunfermline, Falkirk, Glasgow Green 
  • HOZ1 and HOZ2 will drop off and pick up close to Glasgow Green
  • Return fare is £20 
  • These services are not included in the Under 22’s free bus travel in Scotland

Citylink’s normal scheduled services will be running to and from Buchanan Bus Station:

  • M8, 902, 900, M9
  • These cover a variety of locations including 
    • Aberdeen
    • Dundee
    • Perth
    • Stirling
    • Cumbernauld
    • Edinburgh
    • Livingston
  • Under 22 can travel free on these services using their National Entitlement Card or Young Scot NEC.

First Bus and McGills also have a variety of routes from across the wider City and nearby bus stops.   

Glasgow Green can be accessed via Buchanan Bus Station which is around a 20 minute walk away from the entrance. 

Happy Bus are a private coach provider who run services from across Scotland and surrounding towns and drop off at the event close to the entrance – details can be found 


Scotrail run services from across Scotland to stations in Glasgow including Glasgow Central, Queen Street, High Street and Bridgeton which are all a short walk away from Glasgow Green.  Please visit for more information and to book your tickets in advance. 


Glasgow Green can be accessed from three Subway Stations all within a fifteen-minute walk -  Bridge Street, Buchanan Street and St Enoch. Please visit for more information. 

The only official ticket outlet for this event is Ticketmaster. 

No other agents are authorised to sell and any listing on an unauthorised site cannot be guaranteed to gain entry to the event.

We’ve seen lots of customers be scammed by purchasing tickets through sites such as Ebay, Gumtree, Stubhub, Viagogo etc.  Unofficial sites do not give you the same rights and protections.  Be aware and don’t fall for a scam.  These tickets might not even exist and if you turn up with a fake ticket you’ll be turned away from the event so don’t chance it.  We recommend you only purchase through our official ticket partners. All tickets will be mobile tickets. 

These will be available in your Ticketmaster app the week before the event. 

We only permit ticket resale at face value through Ticketmaster Fan to Fan Exchange.  Please do not use ticket sites such as Ebay, Gumtree, Stubhub, Viagogo where tickets may be available at hugely inflated prices.  Buying through these websites also run the risk of being sold tickets that may not actually exist. 

You must keep your ticket with you at all times and show this upon request.     

The majority of tickets are mobile tickets accessed through the Ticketmaster app so please ensure you have your phone charged and the Ticketmaster app open before joining the entrance queue. 

If you’ve been issued with a physical ticket please note tickets cannot be replaced so please ensure you keep them with you at all times.  

This event will be using Ticketmaster's SafeTix technology to provide powerful fraud and counterfeit protection.  Your barcode will constantly change and screenshots of barcodes will not work.  You must show the barcode in the Ticketmaster app.  More info on SafeTix can be found here
Please make sure you check your tickets within the latest version of the Ticketmaster app, and are logged into the app before you arrive at the venue as mobile data reception can be limited - doing this in advance through the app will ensure that you’ll be able to access them at the venue without connectivity.

We recommend that you purchase tickets in advance to avoid disappointment.  Should there be tickets left for sale these can be purchased on the day at the Box Office.  

You’ll also be able to purchase through Ticketmaster subject to availability.  With mobile tickets you can have these delivered to your Ticketmaster app on your phone straight away saving you having to collect these at the box office.  

Please note that our box offices will only be accepting card payments – cash will not be permitted. 

The process for collecting your accessible wristband will be confirmed closer to the event.  

VIP customers must enter via the VIP entrance on Templeton Street – 

Before entering at the VIP Entrance on Templeton Street you’ll need to collect your VIP wristband from VIP Wristband Exchange Box Office.  You must present your mobile ticket where it’ll be scanned before a wristband will be issued. 

Please note, your mobile ticket can only be scanned once when collecting a VIP wristband.  VIP wristbands will not be replaced under and circumstances and you must wear these at all times.  If you remove your wristband this will not be replaced and will be considered void. 

Your ticket can only be scanned once. There is no re-entry once you’re in the event site.  

A bag smaller than A4 paper 

A bank card or cashless payment option – all types of contactless cards and devices are accepted by traders and bars. 

Bring an empty soft collapsible water bottle or pouch which is 500ml or smaller so you can refill this at the free water points across the event site. 

Picnic blankets, small folding/camping chairs, Small travel size sunscreen, portable phone chargers, lip balm and makeup, small cameras, sunglasses, wipes, ear plugs, ponchos and hand sanitiser can all be brought into the event.  

If you need to bring medicine, it must be clearly labelled in the original box or container and only be enough for one day.  If you use a syringe, please take this to one of our first aid points where you can dispose of this safely. 

Do not bring single-use disposable vapes. They pollute the environment and incorrect disposal of these can be hazardous at waste centres.  


Bags and rucksacks bigger than A4 paper size, glass (including perfumes), metal or hard plastic water bottles, food or drink/liquids even if unopened, drugs, flares (you will be charged by the Police), smoke canisters (you will be charged by the Police), flags, professional cameras, selfie sticks, umbrellas, weapons, frisbees/boomerangs and hi-vis tabards or jackets.  

Please be prepared for delays on entry for bag searches and ticket checks.    

You may be refused entry, ejected or worse still, arrested if you bring a prohibited item so familiarise yourself with what we won’t allow into the event.  See a full list of what you can and can't bring on the Special Event Conditions, below.' .  


We take our responsibility to safeguard customers and staff at our events very seriously and engage the best customer service and medical teams to help us achieve this.  

You should feel safe at our event and be free from abuse, harm or neglect irrespective of age, disability, gender, race, domestic situation, religion, belief or sexual orientation.  

Event stewards play a key role in ensuring you have a safe and enjoyable event. If you find yourself in trouble or needing help, let our stewards know as they are trained to assist you and direct you to our other services onsite if required. 

Welfare is a specialist event customer care and support service located near the main entrance. The team of friendly and experienced staff can support you with any needs from physical to emotional and provide a safe space to take time out.  

If you or a friend have become intoxicated or become anxious and need to take time out, welfare has a safe non-judgemental space available where you can rest and recover. They can put you in touch with friends and family if you’ve become separated and will make sure you make it home safe and well. 

First aiders operate at the event and are there to support if you have a minor injury, ailment or mental health concern.  They are based out the first aid points near the main entrance identified on the customer map, with ambulances and paramedics on standby to assist with more serious health concerns or incidents.  

Additionally, a team of qualified A&E Doctors and Nurses operate from our event medical centre and can help with more serious medical incidents and health concerns.  

Our wellbeing tent is located away from the crowds where you can find a safe space to chill.  

Our highly trained colleagues from Crew 2000 manage the space and will make sure you have the level of support you need to recharge and continue with the rest of your event experience.  

Our help point is located near the ‘needle monument’ and food court and staffed by a team of friendly event volunteers who can answer your questions and help you find your way around the site.  

There is no lost property location at the event.  

If you are unfortunate enough to lose a personal item, please note that all property recovered by stewards is passed to Police Scotland and available to collect from the day after the event.  You can call them on 101 to check if you item has been found.  

Planning on watching the show from down the front? The fact you will be in a big crowd may feel uncomfortable and going down the front is a very different experience than being further back in the crowd.  


If you are planning to watch the show from the front of the stage, there are some things to be mindful of, including the importance of not starting circle pits:  


  • Don’t start or participate in circle pits – they are dangerous and can cause harm across the full crowd.  

  • Crowd movement happens at all shows and it’s important to help everyone around you if you find yourself in a difficult position.  

  • The event control centre is always monitoring the crowd via CCTV.  

  • Security and ‘spotters’ are on and around the stage watching for anyone who is in need for assistance at all times.  

  • Take time to chill – there are plenty of areas around the event site where you can take a moment.  

At Gigs in Scotland, we aim to create events that are accessible for all. We have a dedicated Access Team working all year round to constantly improve the experience for access customers. We welcome and encourage feedback from our attendees on our accessible facilities.

A downloadable Accessible Information Guide will be sent out via email prior to the event to all confirmed applicants.   • This is an all-standing event with very limited seating around the main arena and VIP. Chairs are not allowed into the arena.

The Accessible Platform is built to a specific capacity. After capacity is reached, you won’t be guaranteed a spot and can only be added to a waitlist. As spaces fill up quickly, we recommend that you complete your application for this area as soon as possible, once you have purchased your tickets, to avoid disappointment.

If a customer is unable to attend Hozier without the support from a PA/Companion, then we will provide a ticket for them at no extra cost. 

  • The PA/Companion ticket is subject to completing our online accessible application process here and can only be approved by members of the Access Team. 

  • Each access customer will be allowed one free PA ticket unless pre-agreed with the access manager due to their requirements. 

  • If you need more than one PA, please contact us at  

  • This ticket is provided with the expectation that your PA or Companion is willing and able to assist you throughout your visit.  

  • In the event of an evacuation, they are your main point of assistance. Crowd management staff located near the viewing platform will assist in moving everybody to a safe place. 

  • PA tickets won’t be posted out and will be available only on the day for collection. 


Your role as PA/Companion 

  • Familiarise yourself with the Accessible Information Guide once its available. 

  • Make yourself aware of the access team and stewards on the platform in case you need any assistance. 

  • Make sure to check weather before attending and ensure you and the access customer are ready for the ever-changing Scottish weather. 

  • The PA ticket has been issued to you on the basis that the PA will not become incapacitated. In such circumstances and for your own safety, you, and the person you are assisting will be required to leave the site. 

  • You are attending this event to accompany and assist the person who chose you as their PA. We have the right to eject you from this event should it become apparent you are not carrying out this role.

  • Raised platform with 2 ramps for access.  

  • Unisex accessible toilets  

  • Seated only – You can stand and dance at the back of the platform if you wish. 

  • Pre-approved access customers only 


Accessible Toilets 

There will be accessible toilets all around the site. Their locations will be highlighted on the cartoon map when its released. The main accessible toilet block is at the Accessible Platform. These are portable plastic units with hand-washing facilities operated by a foot pump. 

Use of the accessible toilets is controlled by wristbands. There will be a steward at each location to ensure that only access customers can use these.  

‘Just Can’t Wait’ cards and other medical IDs are also accepted.  


Wristband System 

Our accessible platform and facilities are controlled by a wristband system. These facilities are strictly for access customers and one companion. To ensure this runs smoothly, each platform and set of accessible toilets will have a team of stewards and security to manage customer lists and check wristbands.  

We operate 2 types of wristbands on-site depending on your requirements. 

Accessible Platform Wristband

Platform Points to Note 

  • One person will be allowed one PA/Companion on the platform unless otherwise pre-agreed due to access requirements.  

  • The platform is seated only. This is to prevent restricted view for other customers. If you wish to stand and dance, you can do so at the back of the platform.  

  • The platform is uncovered, and umbrellas are prohibited. Please dress appropriately for the ever-changing Scottish weather.  

  • Walkways on the platform must be kept free for Health and Safety reasons. There will be no standing/dancing allowed in these areas and stewards may ask you to move elsewhere.  

  • For the comfort and enjoyment of all customers using the platform, no smoking/use of e-cigarettes is allowed on the platform.  

  • No abuse of the PA/Companion wristband or it will be revoked.  

  • Any aggression or abuse, physical or verbal directed towards our staff will not be tolerated.  

  • Stewards will provide you with a seat and position on the platform upon arrival. This will be operated on a first come first serve basis regardless of your ticket type (GA, VIP, etc.) If you are leaving the platform for an extended period, we advise that you inform stewards or those around you that those seats are taken. 

There will be a dedicated Accessible parking area on Templeton Street close to the Accessible Entrance. If you require use of this car park, please register your interest via the Accessible Application Form.

Medical, Welfare and our Wellbeing area are available to all customers at Glasgow Green. The locations of these areas will be highlighted on the cartoon map when it's made available closer to the time. 

We strongly advise planning your journey before leaving for Glasgow Green as roads and public transport will be much busier than usual. 

Accessible Parking 

  • Accessible Parking is going to be available on Templeton Street.  

  • As this road is closed for public access during the festival, please be prepared to be stopped by stewards and present a form of identification (passport/driving license) as well as your Blue Badge, if you have one.  

  • There are limited spaces, and we’ll be operating these on a first come first serve basis. Because of this we can’t guarantee you a spot and recommend that you’re aware of alternatives. 

  • We have asked in the accessible application for your car registration number to register your interest and control authorised use of the spaces.

Accessible Drop-Off 

  • If you’re being dropped off, follow the directions above to the Accessible Parking area on Templeton Street. 

  • Tell the steward at the gate that you’re there for Accessible Drop-Off. They will allow your car or taxi to come in, drop off and leave. 

  • Please bring this information with you to show the stewards. 

Accessible Pick-Up/ Taxi After Event 

  • Pick-ups should be arranged for the Accessible Parking area.  

  • We recommend that you pre-book your taxi collection and the stewards can direct them to the Accessible Parking area on Templeton Street.  

  • The taxi driver should be prepared to be stopped by stewards and may have to explain that they are collecting an access customer.  

  • Please be aware that if you have someone picking you up at the end of the night, they will not be able to enter the Accessible Parking area when there are vehicles leaving to avoid any congestion in this area. Vehicles will only be able to enter once it is safe to do so. Expect delays. 

Local Taxis 

Please note that we are not responsible for your travel and transport to and from the event and we are not in control of private entities such as taxis. The above is merely to help those not local to Glasgow with who to contact to pre-arrange a taxi pick-up. 



The nearest train station to Glasgow Green is Bridgeton, which is approximately an 850 metre (10 minute) walk. The trains will be very busy heading to and from the gig, and you may not be able to board your first choice of train.

There may be last minute cancelations and limited rail services across Scotland at the time of the event. Please plan ahead and check the ScotRail website for the latest information and look at alternative travel options. If you have no other way of travelling, you may need to leave the event early to catch the last available train. 


Low Emissions Zone 

All vehicles entering the Glasgow City Centre Low Emissions Zone (LEZ) will need to meet the less-polluting emission standards or face a penalty charge. 

If you are planning to utilise a city centre car park or arranging to pick up or drop off, plan your journey to avoid using the LEZ routes, if applicable. Check your vehicle using the online vehicle checker: 

Site Description 


Glasgow Green is an outdoor, public park in Glasgow. The ground in the arena consists of a combination of gravel, grass, and limited hard-standing, tarmac pathways and temporary trackway. 


Poor weather conditions can have a detrimental effect on the terrain making some areas inaccessible to wheelchair users or customers with mobility issues. 


Route from Accessible Parking – There is tarmac pavement from the road to the accessible entrance. There are hard standing paths leading to the arena and through to the accessible platform.  

Route from Bridgeton Station – This route is made up of pavements and roads through city streets. There are pedestrian crossings with dropped kerbs throughout this route.  



Key distances will be available closer to the event.  



  • Flicker, laser, strobe, and other lighting effects may be used during the performances. Anyone affected by these should bear this in mind. 

  • If you need to bring medication with you, we recommend bringing a copy of your doctor’s letter or prescription. Please keep medication in its original boxes. There will also be a fridge available if you require cold storage for your medication. 

  • If your medication includes controlled drugs, needles, or anything that is not immediately recognisable, please let us know on  

  • If you need to bring food or non-alcoholic drinks with you due to your access requirements, please let us know on  

  • If you need to bring a bag larger than A3 size, please let us know on  

  • Just Can’t Wait cards - We ask our toilet attendants and stewards to look out for these cards for quick access to the toilets.

Hozier has announced the details of his Unreal Unearth Tour, which includes a huge show at Glasgow Green on 10th July 2024. For this incredible show, Hozier will be joined by special guests Brittany Howard + Lord Huron.


After a four year hiatus Hozier released his EP “Eat Your Young” on St. Patrick’s Day (coincidentally his birthday). The release included all new material and featured three songs – the title track, “All Things End,” and “Through Me (The Flood).” The EP is out now.

Driven by the thought-provoking anthem “Take Me To Church”, which is now Diamond-certified in the USA, Canada, Germany and France; Hozier’s self-titled full-length debut bowed at #2 on the Billboard Top 200 (the second biggest debut album of the year) and went on to achieve triple RIAA Platinum status. It enjoyed nine weeks at number 1 in his native Ireland (including spending an incredible 441 weeks in the Irish Top 50 charts). Indeed, the album rose to no. 3 in the UK ahead of his third sell-out UK tour, while both “Take Me To Church”, and “Someone New”, were singles from the album. 

The follow up to Hozier’s debut album, “Wasteland, Baby!” was released to massive critical acclaim in March 2019, entering the US Billboard Top 200 Chart at #1. The album’s 14 tracks (all original Hozier compositions) marked a major development in songwriting and subject matter. The most obvious is Hozier’s enlightened assessment of the global socio-political landscape. The multi-platinum selling album included the aforementioned single “Nina Cried Power” along with singles “Movement”, “Almost (Sweet music)”, and “Dinner and Diatribes”. 

Last year Hozier teamed up with God of War: Ragnarök's composer, Bear McCreary to write the song “Blood Upon The Snow”, which was featured in the soundtrack for the game. The same year he also released “Swan Upon Leda”, in a statement shared alongside the release, the star explained that he was sharing the track as a way of showing “solidarity” with those fighting for reproductive rights. 

With over 22 billion global streams, numerous platinum album certifications, multiple award nominations and wins, Hozier is recognised as one of the foremost singer-songwriters of our generation.
