Del Water Gap is the project of New York-based singer, songwriter, and producer S. Holden Jaffe. Since emerging in 2020 with his breakout single “Ode To A Conversation Stuck In Your Throat,” which earned RIAA Gold certification, he has built a devoted following through his 2021 self-titled debut and 2023’s I Miss You Already + I Haven’t Left Yet. With nearly half a billion Spotify streams and acclaim from Vogue, Rolling Stone, GQ, Interview, and The Cut, Del Water Gap has headlined sold-out shows worldwide, supported Niall Horan and Halsey on arena tours, and co-headlined the Greek Theatre. On his third album, Chasing The Chimera (Mom + Pop Music, November 7), he reconnected with old friend and collaborator Gabe Goodman as well as producer and instrumentalist Jonathan Wilson (Roger Waters, Conor Oberst, Father John Misty). Across its twelve tracks, the album traces the arc of self-discovery in all of its messy beauty – the journey of a narrator in flux, fighting the pull of his self-destructive impulses; a romantic with a god problem, longing for clarity, forgiveness, and a version of adulthood that doesn’t feel like surrender.
