Artist Spotlight | Jordan Ward

ARTIST SPOTLIGHT | JORDAN WARD

Set to play The Art School in April with a brand new album, Jordan Ward tells us what he has planned for 2026.

Released last month, how does your latest album BACKWARD reflect where you are musically right now, and what do you hope fans connect with when they listen?

I’d say this album was largely influenced by my love for classic soul, R&B, folk, rock…really all types of music. I hope listeners can just connect on a human level while being moved by some beautiful music.

We can’t wait to see you headline Glasgow’s The Art School in April – what can we expect from the show?

I’m also very excited! The team and I have built a whole world with everything from the visuals to the music to the stage design. I look forward to people being immersed in our imagination.

Is there an album that changed your life?

Lil’ Romeo - Game Time

What is your favourite gig you’ve attended?

IN THE CITY - Johannesburg, May 2024

How is the rest of 2026 looking for you? Any exciting plans you can tell us about?

This year is going to be amazing. We’re in the middle of a US run right now and I’m super excited about coming to the UK. In May, we’re opening up for JID in Australia and New Zealand. That’s gong to be crazy. Of course staying in the studio to keep the music coming.

Don't miss Jordan at Glasgow's The Art School on 8th April. Tickets are available now on his artist page.
