Event Info

Big Girl’s Blouse is an alternative punk band formed in Glasgow in 2020, shortly after singer / guitarist Emmy Leishman moved over from France as an 18 year old. She met her bandmate Harrison Todd (bass) going to local gigs and the final form of the band emerged when Ross Mills (lead guitar) joined the band in early 2022. Influenced by the emotive yet powerful storytelling of the likes of Sleater - Kinney and PJ Harvey, Emmy's songs address the weirdness and absurdity of existing and expressing as a young queer woman in a city far from home. However, her songs reach anyone with a taste for hypnotic bass-lines, veracious lyrics and savage drumming.
