NEW MUSIC THIS WEEK

It’s our favourite time of the week… New Music Friday! Head over to our Spotify channel and check out our New Music Friday playlist to hear the latest releases from our Gigs in Scotland touring artists.

We’ve been holding out for new music from Jorja Smith and she has amazed us once again with her reimagining of jazz classic ‘Rose Rouge’ which was released this week. The track is taken from ‘Blue Note Re:imagined’, a collection of classic Blue Note tracks reworked by some of the hottest young UK talent of today.

The Snuts received their first play on Annie Mac’s Radio 1 show last night with their new track ‘Elephants’. Their stint on Annie Mac led to the band being the number 1 trend on Twitter in the UK and the band are sitting at the top of the iTunes charts (at time of writing!).

We’ve had Be Charlotte’s new EP ‘Dreaming With The Lights Off’ on repeat all morning, here at Gigs in Scotland HQ! The EP was release today and is filled with hit after hit from one of Dundee’s finest!

Everybody’s favourite Irish rockers, Fontaines D.C, released their amazing new track ‘I Don’t Belong’ this week. As the opening track on their upcoming album ‘A Hero’s Death’, the band directed the new video for ‘I Don’t Belong’ remotely, due to the current restrictions in place with physical distancing, which turned out amazing.

American rockers, Larkin Poe, have dropped their fifth album ‘Self Made Man’, their first album since Grammy nominated ‘Venom & Faith’ was released in 2018. ‘Self Made Man’ brings the bands blues-rock style which is tailor made to suit their formidable live shows.
