Birmingham dream-pop four-piece JAWS have today shared a previously unheard track – ‘UNTITLED’, recorded during the creation of 2019 album The Ceiling. "The Track ‘Untitled’ was recorded for our last album The Ceiling but just didn’t’ make the final track listing. It’s a track I’ve always loved, it reminds me a lot of our earlier stuff and I guess it’s a nod to that" tells frontman Connor Schofield. JAWS will take to the road this winter for their first live dates since 2019. The band will play an extensive run of shows including a date at The Mash House on 24th November. Tickets here

Primal blues duo The Picturebooks have just dropped new song 'Rebel' recorded with the outstanding Grammy winning vocalist Lzzy Hale of Halestorm. Here's what the band had to say about the collaboration: 'Rebel' started out as an idea with Lzzy in mind and quickly surpassed everybody´s expectations. Lzzy tapped into something really special with both lyrics and vocal performance and when we heard her voice on the track for the first time we were totally blown away! Give this one a listen at full volume and be ready to be floored!“  But far from enough, it is even more gratifying that The Picturebooks will play King Tut's on 21st April as part of the 'On The Road Again Tour 2022.' This rock’n’roll circus stretches across Europe and will finally bring the fascinating performance of the two guys back to the masses. Get your tickets here

Following the recent release of The English Riviera 10th Anniversary Edition in celebration of a decade of their career-changing album, Metronomy have shared a remix of their seminal track ‘The Bay’ by London producer and DJ Mr. Mitch. A minimalist at heart, Mr Mitch specialises in detailed sound and melody in space, but remains ambitious in his scope, taking excerpts and inspiration from RnB and Dancehall, as heard on his recent album Lazy. Check out his unique take on ‘The Bay’, accompanied by visuals by Nuno Carreiro da Costa below. Metronomy have also recently announced new UK tour dates for April and May 2022, taking in 12 dates including a stop at Barrowland on 22nd April. Manic Street Preachers return with their 14th studio album The Ultra Vivid Lament on 3rd September released on Columbia/Sony and have announced a tour for this autumn including shows at Usher Hall, Caird Hall and Barrowland. More info here. ‘Orwellian’ - the first track to be released - is classic Manic Street Preachers, dissecting the misuse of words against cascading, glacial melody. Manic Street Preachers on Orwellian: “The track is about the battle to claim meaning, the erasing of context within debate, the overriding sense of factional conflict driven by digital platforms leading to a perpetual state of culture war. As with many songs on the record, it was written on the piano by James Dean Bradfield. Musically, it echoes ABBA, the majesty of Alan Rankine’s playing in The Associates and Talk Talks ‘It’s My Life’ with a Lindsey Buckingham guitar solo. It felt like the perfect sonic and lyrical introduction to ‘The Ultra Vivid Lament’”.

King No One have returned with storming new single 'Obsolete.' It's the latest single in a new chapter for the York outfit, who have been making waves over the last few years for their brand of confessional yet catchy alternative indie. With a stunning live show and remarkable songwriting talent, the trio have amassed an army of fans worldwide, and become one of the UK's most vital and adored live bands, constantly pushing the boundaries. 'Obsolete' effortlessly showcases this sentiment, and takes everything from the King No One creative palette to glorious new heights. Unearthing the beauty from life's darker moments, the single sees a juxtaposition of darkly cathartic lyrical work and optimistic melodies before delivering one of 2021's biggest choruses so far. Speaking about 'Obsolete', King No One said: "Fusing 00s R&B and 90s grunge, Obsolete is about the pursuit of hedonism to mask the shame that depression can leave you with. And the first acknowledgment that you kinda suck and don’t want to suck anymore." King No One also recently announced a UK/European headline tour for autumn 2021 including dates at King Tut's and The Mash House.
