Event Info

Pleasure Heads are an indie rock band hailing from Falkirk, born from small town boredom and a longing to rise above the mundane. The four piece bonded over a love of 80's post punk and contemporary garage rock, channeling their ennui and influences into urgent guitar pop songs that marry melody and meaning. After taking the time to develop their sound, they set their sights on nearby Glasgow and quickly rose up through the ranks of the city’s vibrant scene; culminating in back to back sold out shows at The Poetry Club last November. Along with standout performances at festivals such as Tenement Trial, XpoNorth, and Stag & Dagger, the outfit consistently bring excitement and a volatile energy to their live shows, inviting audiences to leave their inhibitions at the door. Sharp lyricism is at the forefront of their sound, broadcasted through lead vocalist, Euan Purves’ low drawling voice. Accompanied with a tight rhythm section and driving lead guitar, the resulting songs teeter between defiance and resignation; lamenting over everyday issues but taking that discontment and channeling into a fiercely productive force
