Whilst that may be true, especially in the world of Rock n Roll, there have been a few notable exceptions; The Runaways, Suzi Quatro, Girlschool, Rock Goddess, The Donnas, and now The Amorettes!
Since their formation in late 2010, this Spunky, Scottish 3-piece have been solidly gigging in clubs and festivals both at home and abroad, with their High-Octane, energy fuelled Performances securing them even more dedicated fans, and rave reviews, from far and wide.
Having independently released their acclaimed debut, Haulin' Ass, in late 2011, a release described by Geoff Barton of Classic Rock Magazine as "Three minute stun gun bursts full of humour and hellion fury!",the feisty threesome have entered 2014 with a brand new batch of pulse-shattering anthems, and are currently in talks with named producers to record the follow-up, with a major label release planned for after the summer.
Classic Rock magazine has predicted that The Amorettes "....are gonna make the biggest girl group noise since The Nolans appeared on the cover of Sounds with Motrhead!", and the gig calendar is filling up with shows at home, and abroad, with 2014 on target to be the most important, and busiest year in their history.......SO FAR!!
Whilst James Brown may think its a "Man's, Man's, Man's World", The Amorettes are all the proof you need that, "It wouldn't mean nothing without a Woman or a Girl!"
