"Melodic, accessible, complex and challenging - original music from Ayrshire, Scotland.
"It's all too easy for bands to fall into that well-worn path of seeking their sound but ending up an identikit of every other band doing the rounds. The musical gene pool shrinks and we spin round in ever decreasing circles.

Not so for Culann. Since forming they have carved out a sound that is at once melodic, accessible, complex and challenging. And they truly have a sound of their own, calling on influences ranging from celtic-tinged folk through off-kilter prog to chest beating anthemic rock. "
Culann are a 5 piece Alt Rock band from Irvine, Ayrshire.

After a few years of writing & gigging 2012 was a breakthrough year for the band, Recording their debut album & successfully launching it with a headline show at King Tuts Wah Wah Hut in Glasgow. Culann have supported some incredible touring acts in the last few years including Band of Skulls, Cursive, Capdown & The Datsuns.
2013 has seen the break through to a whole new audience. With various tours , some prestigious support slots & various festival appearances show the band have grown from strength to strength. A reward for the hard work this year was a completely sold out Glasgow show this summer.

Top Scot DJ, Jim Gellatly has featured Culann on his In:demand & Amazing Radio Broadcasts this year & recently were his featured artist in The Scottish Sun.
