Tamil Londoner Susheela Raman is one of the UK’sfinest singers and celebrated around the world for pushing the boundaries ofmusical experimentation. Announcing her latest project on the crowd-fundingplatform Pledge, she seeks to engage in a creative partnership withher followers for her sixth studio album. Since her debut recording SaltRain in 2001, Mercury Prize-shortlisted Susheela Raman has madeherself a name as a ‘true innovator’ (The Guardian) forher unique and genre-defying collaborations.
Following her headline appearance at SouthbankCentre’s Alchemy festival earlier this year, she will take aneclectic line-up on tour across the UK, road-testing new material for herhugely ambitious recording project.
