Knock On Effect are a blistering rock n roll band from the west of Scotland, formed in late 2011 in a drive to create effortlessly tuneful and well crafted modern pop. Inspired by a fine lineage of quality bands, they wear their influences well yet add their own unique charm and idiosyncratic edge into the mix, blending soaring vocal harmonies and sing along choruses with melodic guitars with a powerful rhythm section.
In their time together the band have grown as a live act, bringing a loyal following to headline shows at the iconic King Tut’s Wah Wah Hut among others, whilst also playing as far afield as London. They have notched up appearances at both Glasgow O2 venues, and supported notable acts such as up and comers Chapel Club, provincial indie stars The Pigeon Detectives and Britpop outfit Dodgy.
Having fine tuned their act on the live circuit the band are now on the verge of releasing their debut EP “Jump the Gun” in September, recorded at reputable Glasgow studio CaVa Sound. With another headline appearance at King Tut’s to launch the record and a debut tour in the pipeline, the future looks bright for Knock On Effect.
