TheRecovery! formed out of the ashes of various bands that split up. Severalfailed relationships ended up in nights of alcohol fuelled debauchery in a colddingy flat in Glasgow's West End. The five members met just at the right timesharing experiences from hurling guitars out of smashed windows to crying tearsof sheer desperation through shared experiences of love and loss. Beanzy theguitarist jokingly mentioned that they should call their new musical endeavourThe Recovery! And that’s exactly what the band came to be – a musical vesselfor each band member’s recovery from the depths of despair.
The bandself-released first E.P ‘This Ones For The Lovers’ and more recently thereleased a single titled ‘Vulture Club’ which propelled them towards playing topacked audiences around Scotland and more recently performing as main supportto Cancer Bats at Slam Dunk Festival Scotland. They have also had the pleasureof playing a live session for Ally MaCrae on BBC Radio 1 along with variousother airplay and critical positivity.
The Recovery!are now developing at a rapid speed so much so that you can now see there videofor their new single "The Faint & Fragile" on MTV Rocks, Kerrang!TV and Scuzz TV as well as being played on various shows on Kerrang! Radio,Radio 1 Rock Show and XFM. The band were also tipped in Kerrang! Magazine as aband to get excited about and watch out for in 2013 and also featured inmagazines such as Rocksound, Front, Big Cheese and Kerrang! as well as various national newspapers.
2013 is goingto be a very exciting year for The Recovery! the new E.P “Where Ever NowhereTakes Us” was released in 2013 and with festivals and tours already confirmed youwill be seeing the band pop up when you least expect it and in return will blowyour mind with their captivating liveperformance.
