JLS have announced their third UK arena tour for December 2013 culminating with a show at London’s The O2.
Since JLS came second on X Factor in 2008, they have been one of the most successful acts in the show’s history. They are the only act from the show to have had five number one singles. Over the last four years they have sold over six million records. JLS have also racked up a number of impressive awards over the years. They have won two Brit Awards and earlier this month, they took home their fifth MOBO Award, matching Kanye West’s current record and firmly placing them as one of the UKs most successful music groups.
Oritse, Marvin, Aston and JB have recently shifted gear into a fresh era with the release of new album, Evolution. The album deftly documents a growth for the boys and sees them move in a more urban direction. Evolution also saw JLS working with a stellar list of American urban producers including hip hop producers The Runners [Rihanna, Chris Brown, Rick Ross] and the legendary R&B hit-maker Rodney Jerkins [TLC, Kanye West, Beyonce].
JLS return with their second single Give Me Life, which is released through RCA Records on 23rd December. Give Me Life is a storming club anthem with a climactic chorus, co-written by the boys and produced by Australian producer, Jaz Rogers. A fantastic example of dirty, electro pop at its best, it combines a fierce beat with the signature soulful JLS harmonies.
JLS live experience has been one of the hottest tickets over the last few years and they’ve sold millions of tickets throughout their career. This new arena tour follows their hugely successful Fourth Dimension tour back in the spring.
“The past four years have been incredible for us and we can’t wait to headline our third arena tour. Our fans are amazing and it’s been wonderful to share this journey with them. We’re really excited to perform tracks off Evolution as well as fan favourites.”
JLS are only one of three British bands ever to sell out more than ten dates at the O2 arena, along with the Spice Girls and Take That - that’s over 1.25m bums on seats.
