Enemies of the State

Formed in late 2012, Glasgows Enemies of the State take guitar infused indie rock to create a sound which is familiar yet refreshingly unique. The band’s lyrical content is based on the current political and social climate, revolution, science and love and whilst this is slightly left field they can slot firmly into the mainstream also.

In their first year. the band gained widespread critical acc
laim for their live performances they headlined King Tuts Wah Wah Hut twice and also played on the main stage of the 02 Academy in Glasgow.

The band also received a number of extremely positive reviews for demos of "Day After Day" and "We Are All the Universe". "Enemies of the State unleash their energetic Indie rock like a projectile aimed at success" - Blues Bunny Music Reviews. XFM/Amazing Radio/Clyde 1s Jim Gellatly also said the band were "Oozing class" after playing their song "No Tomorrow" on his Clyde 1 podcast and Amazing Radio show.

Now into their second year, 2014 sees the band begin to branch outwith the Glasgow music scene and continue to expand on an ever growing fanbase. They have so far played at PJ Malloys, Dunfermline and at the Old Town Street Food Festival in the 3 Sisters, Edinburgh.

2014 also is the year Enemies of the State release their debut album. The release of the eagerly anticipated debut marks the start of an exciting new chapter for the band and will come off the back of what will be an incredibly successful summer with a festival slot at the Bathgate Music Festival and also gigs at the Hard Rock Cafe Glasgow, Broadcast, King Tuts and will end with their biggest gig of the album launch at Stereo Glasgow in October
